From a satire to a psychological thriller, four short stories from celebrated auteur and writer Satyajit Ray are adapted for the screen in this series. Crime,Drama,Thriller Maybe it's a little premature of me to write a review after watching just 60% of the first episode, but I think I can hazard an opinion here. The main story that Forget Me Not is based on, Bipin Choudhurir Smritibrhom (Vipin Chaudhary's memory loss), is a story spanning a mere few pages with every line delivering something new to its readers. The simplicity of the characters make the storyline stand out and pack the legendary Ray punch. Forget me Not has tried to take a 5 page story, embellish it with pedestrian cliches (e.g. If tou are a corpo hotshot you have to have had sex with your secretary) and make a full length film for the multiplex-audience. I found it boring. Never ending. Lacking the much-needed WTF moments. If this story had been made without the Ray tag, maybe I would have liked it better. But when you dare to take content from legends like Ray, you commit yourself to a certain quality...and that quality is missing here. I'll skip over to the story that has Manoj Bajpai in it and see if my opinion changes. That guy can actually carry bad screenplay on his shoulders and yet deliver a great watch!
